From my first ‘kolibri’ in California, the full-of attitude Anna’s Hummingbird, to the beauties of Brazil and Colombia. Each one has been uniquely special. Each one impossible to stop photographing. As winter closed in on my home in Europe, this year, much like my beloved birds, I found myself flying down down down, way down south to the lands down under. A few days in Melbourne. The city, vibrant and charming inspite of the grey skies.

This is a story of the Cranes and other birds spotted over a lovely weekend at Hortobágyi Nemzeti Park.
