Blacksmith lapwing

A dramatically coloured bird in bold black & white, the Blacksmith Lapwing gets it’s name from it’s call, a repeated metallic 'tink, tink, tink' alarm call, which suggests a blacksmith's hammer striking an anvil. (listen to the recording below :)
It’s found in Kenya .. that’s where I got to spend some time with it, and then further down south and south west of the continent.
